If you are not a member of the BPKA/BBC then you will need to join. Single membership costs just £15 per annum with family membership costing £40. Can I bring a dog to wallop?
Generally we advise people not to bring along their dog. Access to the flying field is subject to permission from the MOD, which restricts us from allowing dogs onto the flying field. A small area just off the main site is set aside for dog owners, but dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Day time visitors to the site are normally allowed access but the final decision rests with the Museum on the day.
Dog owners must keep the area clean at all times.
What facilities are there on site?
Nothing! Normally the site is an active airbase. During the 3 days of May we take over the airfield and have to hire in all other facilities. We will have a huge water tanker providing all fresh water. A fleet of port-a-loos and a massive beer tent with several food and beverage traders selling hot and cold food from 9.00am through to 10pm . We don’t have any electric points so you will need to provide power via small generators.
Can a person under 18 come to Wallop?
Yes, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Please don’t leave your children with us we are not a Nursery…….
Why are there no Races or competitions?
This event is a social and friendly one and we do not have any daytime structure events. The space is there for all to use and to stop the majority of people for the minority of participants is not really worth doing.
